Shockingly good theatreIt’s a season of renewal here at Passage! We’ve been listening to your ideas and been inspired by your enthusiasm, so this year we’re bringing you more variety, more often! In 2012-13 you'll get to see ten months of theatre:

Dancescapes NJ

(September 22 and October 6): A site-specific celebration of dancing for Land, History, Environment, Art! Passage Theatre and D&R Greenway Land Trust combine forces of nature with DanceSpora, Trenton’s professional contemporary dance-theatre company, in Cadwalader Park and at St. Michaels Farm Preserve.

Two New World Premiere Plays! 

Blessed Are (October 18 - November 4), by Jessica Beford*, directed by Adam Immerwahr.  A man with a shameful past who returns to his boyhood home, and finds two very different women eagerly welcoming him back.

Roundelay (March 21 – April 7), by R.N. Sandberg*, Directed by Adam Immerwahr. A wild, multi-character, globe-hopping tale of love in all of its complexity.

Passage Presents

We've found the best solo acts, given them longer, individual runs, and scheduled them throughout the year. Now you don't have to wait until Solo Flights to see intimate solo performances at the Mill Hill Playhouse.

  • SRO (December 14-16), by Lauren Weedman, directed by Jeff Weatherford.
    Writer, performer and comedian Lauren Weedman returns with her new one-woman show SRO – a true story of single room occupancy hotels, electric guitars, gurus, horror movies and sex.
  • Sarah Dash: One Woman By Sarah Dash (May 17 – 19), Trenton-born Sarah Dash is a stellar vocalist best known as part of the trio Labelle (with Patti Labelle and Nona Hendryx) who recorded the iconic song "Lady Marmalade."
  • Christine Lavin (May 24 – 26), Veteran singer-songwriter Christine Lavin returns to the Mill Hill Playhouse!
