Driving and Parking Directions

Passage Theatre is located at 205 E Front St, Trenton, NJ, and easily accessible by road from Princeton, Bucks County, Philadelphia, or New York.

NOTE:  DURING MAINSTAGE PERFORMANCES PARKING IS LEGAL ALONG E. FRONT STREET IN FRONT OF MILL HILL PARK, REGARDLESS OF SIGNAGE.  YOU WILL NOT BE TICKETED.  HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE CIRCLE ON SOUTH MONTGOMERY STREET, BEHIND THE THEATRE.  Scroll to bottom for a parking map.

Via Route 1 (Southbound)

In Lawrenceville, when the road splits, stay left (Business Rte. 1 goes right) Exit at Market Street.  At traffic light turn right onto Stockton Street. At first light, turn left onto Front Street At first light, the Playhouse is on the left.

Via Route 29

Exit at Market Street At third light, make a left onto Broad Street Turn right at the first light onto Front Street. At first light, the Playhouse is on the right, at the intersection of Front and Montgomery Streets.

From South Jersey / Route 295

Take 295 North to Exit 60 (Trenton/Shore Points) When 29 and 129 split, stay left to remain on 29 North.   Exit at Market Street, which is immediately after the US-1 South exit.   At third light, make a left onto Broad Street. Turn right at the first light onto Front Street. The Playhouse is on the right, at the intersection of Front and Montgomery Streets (at the first light).

From Philadelphia via I-95 or US-1

Take 1-95 north to exit 46A, signposted "Morrisville, US-1 North".

Continue on US-1 North crossing the Delaware River and take the second Trenton exit signposted "Market Street, Train Station".  Make a left at the bottom of the ramp onto Market Street, right onto Stockton Street, which is the first light after the underpass.  Turn left onto Front Street.  The Playhouse is on the left, at the interseciton of Front and Montgomery Streets.

From New York via New Jersey Turnpike - South

Note: Based on the traffic situation on the turnpike, you may choose to take either Exit 7A or Exit 9. Absent traffic, taking 7A is 10-15 minutes faster, but there is sometimes heavy traffic south of Exit 9.

Via Exit 7A -- After the toll, stay left for I-195 West toward Trenton. As you continue west on I-195, it will end and become Rt. 129/29.   When 29 and 129 split, stay left to remain on 29 North.   Exit at Market Street, which is immediately after the US-1 South exit.   At third light, make a left onto Broad Street. Turn right at the first light onto Front Street. The Playhouse is on the right, at the intersection of Front and Montgomery Streets (at the first light).

Via Exit 9 -- At exit, bear right following signs to New Brunswick/US-1.  You will briefly be on Rt-28 North.  Get into the middle lane immediately after you merge onto Rt-28,  so you're not forced to exit onto US-1 North, then exit onto US-1 South. Follow Route 1 into Trenton Follow directions from Route 1 South

Security-guarded on-street parking is available on the streets marked in yellow in the map below: S. Montgomery St., Ernie Kovacs St., E. Front St. and in the Artworks parking lot.

NJ Transit is fast and reliable

The Trenton Transit Center offers service from NJ TRANSIT, SEPTA, the River Line Light Rail and AMTRAK. The Mill Hill Playhouse is within walking distance of the station.

Via New Jersey Transit (from North)

The NJ Transit Northeast Corridor Line runs from NY Penn Station into the Trenton Transit Center, making stops in between. From NYC, express trains are 1:04; locals take about 1:30.  The Trenton Transit Center is the last stop.

When you exit the platform, follow signs to the cab stand.  The Mill Hill Playhouse is about a $5 cab ride from the station.

Via the NJ Transit RiverLINE (from South including Philly)

The River Line runs from Camden to the Trenton Transit Center, making stops at a number of towns along the river.   From downtown Philly, you can take the PATCO High Speed Line and connect at Broadway to the River Line.  Take the River Line to the Trenton Transit Center, which is the last stop.  Walk across the street into the main station, and follow the signs to the cab stand.  The Mill Hill Playhouse is about a $5 cab ride from the station.  River Line riders receive a 10% discount on day-of-performance tickets purchased at the Mill Hill Playhouse.  Simply show your validated River Line ticket.

Via SEPTA (from Philly and suburbs)

The R-7 serves Trenton, which is about a 50 minute ride from 30th Street Station.  The Trenton Transit Center is the final stop.  When you exit the platform, follow signs to the cab stand.  The Mill Hill Playhouse is about a $5 cab ride from the station.
